How To Make Newspaper Worm Bedding

Newspaper worm bedding is a great way to provide your worms with a comfortable and absorbent environment. It is also a sustainable option, as it can be made from recycled newspapers. Here are the steps on how to make newspaper worm bedding:

Materials:

Old newspapers
Scissors
Water
Bucket or container

Instructions:

1. Cut the newspapers into strips about 1-2 inches wide. The strips can be any length, but they should be long enough to reach the bottom of your worm bin.

2. Shred the newspaper strips into small pieces. You can use a paper shredder or simply tear the strips into small pieces by hand.

3. Fill a bucket or container with water. Add the shredded newspaper to the water and stir until the newspaper is thoroughly soaked.

4. Let the newspaper soak for at least 30 minutes. This will help to soften the newspaper and make it more absorbent.

5. Drain the water from the newspaper. Spread the newspaper out on a flat surface and allow it to dry completely.
